Departing from the Tiki Parc, this guided hike passes through a pine forest ideal for exploration, before joining the pineapple trail, in the heart of Moorea’s emblematic plantations. The view opens onto Mount Rotui, the island’s sacred guardian mountain. A detour then leads to the marae, ancient gathering and cult places, where Polynesian heritage accompanies the walk.
A complete Moorea activity, combining sensations, generous nature and cultural discovery.

“In the footsteps of our ancestors
A hike between nature and memory, in the heart of Moorea’s forest and sacred places.
This experience takes you through a surprising pine forest, offering a cool, soothing atmosphere, very different from Moorea’s coastal landscapes. The trail winds between wooded areas, clearings and shady passages, creating a setting conducive to walking and observation.
The route continues along the marae trail, where you’ll discover several Polynesian cultural sites that bear witness to the island’s history and traditions. These marae, ancient sites of spiritual and social life, blend naturally into the landscape, inviting a respectful and attentive approach.
This hike allows you to understand Moorea in a different way, through the link between nature, spirituality and the ancient organization of the territory. As always, the route, pace and breaks are adapted to your level, as part of a tailor-made private hike integrated into a turnkey day.
The trail alternates between forested areas, slightly damp passages and more open paths.
I recommend :
This hike is accessible, but active. Take the time to go at your own pace and enjoy the scenery. Water is provided along the way to ensure your comfort.
Under the pines, the most important thing is not what you see, but what you feel as you walk between nature and memory.
This activity combines perfectly with our other experiences.
