Activity details
“An unobstructed view of Mount Rotui and the two bays.”
An ancestral path that opens onto one of Moorea’s most impressive views
This hike combines two key aspects of the island: Polynesian culture and landscape interpretation.
The tour begins on the Marae Trail, an itinerary charged with meaning that crosses several of Moorea’s marae sites, ancient places of social and spiritual life. These spaces are naturally integrated into their environment, inviting visitors to discover them with respect, encouraging exchanges and an understanding of local history.
As you walk, the landscape gradually changes, giving way to more open areas. The route then leads to the 3 Pinus viewpoint, an emblematic viewpoint of the island’s interior. From this highest point, the view unfolds over Mount Rotui and Moorea’s two bays, offering a clear and spectacular reading of the island’s geography.
The 3 Pinus swing, suspended in front of the void, is both playful and contemplative, always at your own pace.
This hike takes place on natural trails, alternating between cultural passages and more open areas as you approach the belvedere.
