The hike to Magic Mountain (Faa Roa) leads to one of Moorea’s most emblematic viewpoints. The ascent is gradual on an accessible trail, allowing you to reach the summit without rushing.
As you climb higher, the scenery changes. The intense green of the vegetation reveals the nuances of Moorea’s lagoon, with its turquoise gradations and motus in the distance. The climb is short but structuring: it creates a clear transition between the island’s interior and its openness to the ocean.
Reaching the summit offers spectacular panoramic views of the lagoon, volcanic landforms and coral reef. It’s an ideal spot for an extended break, a photo opportunity or simply some observation time.
